Windows cannot locate your roaming profile read only
What am i doing wrong? Do not use roaming profiles. I would highly recommend not using roaming profiles roaming mandatory profiles is ok. In this situation Redirected Folders is definitely the way to go. You will waste far less space on your storage and it will run much faster. Have you tried resetting the profiles, that is, renaming both the local and server copies of their folders? Then you can recreate their profile folder on the server and set write permissions for that user.
Anything missing can be copied from the old local profile folder and changes will be saved to the server when the user logs off. But it keeps creating Temp profiles on the local server.. Roaming Profiles are still fine to use, especially in a Citrix environment - so saying 'Do Not Use Them' is one option for some, but not the easy answer for everyone. NOT when they log onto their own computer.
With all of this in mind, it seems that there are serious bugs in the Windows 10 implementation of roaming profiles that need to be addressed before the product is enterprise-ready. Optimistically speaking, it would appear that Microsoft is probably going to address these issues in the June Redstone update — when, with Windows Server Remote Desktop Session Host RDSH being available, roaming would be a much more relevant subject.
Making it so much more difficult for those using traditional methods or those using third-party vendor tools to successfully roam the user state would mean that Microsoft has an opportunity to fill this gap with a tool of its own creation and fuel its larger goal of widespread cloud adoption.
In fact, there is a tool already in beta, called Enterprise Settings Sync , which appears to do precisely that, saving the user state into an Azure Active Directory AD. Is this the wider play and the reason that Windows 10 appears to be incompatible with traditional forms of roaming?

Everytime a new user logs on for the first time their profile is suppose to take a copy of a "Default User" I have stored in NetLegon. I have even tried creating a user with full administrator rights to see if that would make a difference and it doesn't.
It seems NTFS permission related. I have tried giving full control to the various groups and that still doesn't help. Any ideas would be very much appreciated! Jane F.
